The Ignatius DiNardo Foundation honors the life of Dr. Iggy DiNardo

a dedicated Husband, Father, and Physician

*****
Iggy devoted his life to helping and healing others and creating a healthy and happy family. He had an infectious laugh, a kind and curious heart, and an inner peace that always shined through.

Our family has been comforted by stories from former patients, colleagues, and friends in remembering Iggy. These words have inspired us to create the Ignatius DiNardo Foundation.

About Iggy

Iggy graduated valedictorian of Loyola Blakefield in 1975, where he wrestled and was a tennis team captain. He then completed his undergraduate and medical degrees at Georgetown University and residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. He served a four-year commitment with the National Health Service Corps in Princess Anne, MD.

Iggy married his wife of 31 years, Joanie, in 1988. They settled in Salisbury, MD, and had three beautiful children—Greg, Madeline, and Lilly.

For 34 years, Iggy cared for patients at various hospitals throughout the Eastern Shore. In 1992, Iggy and Dr. Chris Huddleston opened an internal medicine practice Huddleston and DiNardo, PA. Iggy received numerous awards based on the quality of care, including the Patients’ Choice Awards and Compassionate Doctor Recognition.

Beyond his private practice, Iggy was a hospitalist at Atlantic General Hospital in Berlin, MD, until his death. Iggy also developed a passion for medical consulting and was an expert witness with Coastal Internal Medicine.

We are thankful to our community, friends, and family who loved and valued Iggy’s dedication. We will forever continue his work and honor his mission.

Love,
Joanie, Greg, Madeline, and Lilly DiNardo
